Tips for caring for your Segway PT

The lithium ion accus have no memory effect and therefore cannot be overloaded. The charging capacity is ca. 0.9kWh. To ensure your lithium ion accus reach the maximum operational life span, we recommend the following:

• Charge the accus regularly and keep the Segway PT plugged in to the power plug when not in use
• If the vehicle is not in use for an extended period of time – particularly in the winter months – always keep the Segway PT plugged in to the power socket. This will prevent any possible exhaustive discharge.

• Ensure that the Segway PT is turned off and unplugged from the power source
• Always close the charging socket before cleaning
• Clean your Segway PT with soap, water and a soft cloth
  

• Plug the accu in, also in the winter months
• Detach the accu from the device and if available, charge it with an external charger
• Ideally the tyres should be removed and stored in the same manner as car tyres
